Brain and Mental Health Art Show raises awareness and funds for mental health charities

The Society for Neuroscience (Ottawa) has been hosting an annual Brain and Mental Health Art Show for the past several years.

The show allows attracts submissions from local artists and researchers who offer pieces which express their experiences and feelings relating to mental health issues. The event is organized as a vermissage of diverse pieces from researchers, artists, members of the community, and individuals with mental health issues.

The Brain and Mental Health Art Show provides an opportunity to bring together Ottawa’s scientific and mental health communities and raises awareness of mental health issues, as well as funds to support mental health charities.

This year the 2017 Brain and Mental Health Art Show will be hosted on Thursday, April 6th, 2017 at the Horticulture Building located within Lansdowne Park. The show will run from 6pm to 9pm with auction results and winning art announced at approximately 8:30.
