The security of travelers has always been of paramount importance to federal regulating bodies. In the year following 9/11, Homeland Security spending doubled and since that time has continued to steadily increase on an annual basis. This lecture will describe some of the technology that has been and is currently used in airport security. Emerging point-of-contact technologies that show potential use in passenger screening will also be explored in an interactive setting where participation and questions from the audience will be welcomed..
