Submit your video to be part of the #CUinScience campaign!
Join us as we celebrate the achievements of women and take action for equality on International Women’s Day – March 8, 2021.
To mark the occasion the Faculty of Science will share a series of videos featuring Carleton Science students on social media throughout the day as part of campaign we’re calling #CUinScience. The campaign will highlight accomplishments of female researchers and students in science — at Carleton and beyond — with the dual goal of inspiring the next generation of female scientists.
We are currently seeking participants and collecting submissions. Instructions on how to submit your video are provided below. Please note that, in order to participate, you must be a student who is currently enrolled in a science program at Carleton.
Students who submit a video will be entered in for the chance to win a $50 gift card to the Carleton University Bookstore! We will name six lucky winners by random draw on March 8.
Here’s how to get involved:
1. Fill out and submit the form below.
Don’t forget to upload a signed Consent to Publish Student Information form!
2. Record a brief video of yourself on your phone, video camera or webcam.
In the video, please read and fill in the blanks of the following script. Try your best to keep each of the statements concise, as the video should be no more than 60 seconds long. Tip: Record in landscape.
