Carleton Science and the School of Mathematics and Statistics invite you to the next ACE EDI event: Between Two Worlds: Academia and Public Service.
In this talk, Odae Al Aboud, Adjunct Professor in the School of Mathematics and Statistics, will share his journey as a newcomer to Canada and reflect on how he built a path across academia and the federal public service. He will speak about the challenges of starting over in a new country, the lessons learned along the way, and the importance of staying open to unexpected opportunities. More broadly, the talk is about resilience, identity, and finding ways to connect knowledge, service, and purpose across different professional worlds.
This event is part of the ACE EDI Event Series, which aims to increase Awareness, Collaboration, and Engagement and advance EDI efforts in the Faculty of Science.
