Sangeeta Murugkar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at Carleton University. She is developing applications of Raman spectroscopy and multimodal nonlinear optical imaging in the areas of skin cancer detection and treatment; understanding cellular response to ionizing radiation; and for developing applications in radiation microdosimetry. She is collaborating with Dr. Jillian Macdonald at The Ottawa Hospital, Dr. Vinita Chauhan at Health Canada and Dr. Rowan Thomson at Carleton University.
